Now that the school year has settled down a bit, and things have started to hit their pace, I think I'm going to blog a bit more often, at least that's what I choose to believe at the moment. So, here are some of the terrible ideas I've been putting off writing about for a while...
1. I think there should be an urgency ring tone on cell phones that could be accessed by pressing an extra button or two... If you REALLY had something important to say to communicate, you could let them know they needed to pick up, of course wouldn't we just end up using that all the time anyways?
2. I think the entire state of Florida should be turned into a prison colony.
3. The P. Williams Elective Tax: In an effort to reclaim a direct democracy, I propose that registered voters be allowed to determine which percentage of their tax is allotted to which portion of the budget. I know, sounds crazy right? But blue staters could vote for social programs and the red staters could vote for the defense budget or whatever... While in theory, our elected officials carry our vote and accomplish the same thing right? But there is a lack of accountability which this would bypass entirely. Ok, so I don't think it totally wouldn't work but I can dream can't I?
