Meet Pixel

OCC Graffiti

Just some of the charming remnants of boredom left on the sides of the giant worktables In my classroom at Orange Coast College. The tables are incredibly old, the first pic is of the surface which is delaminated, carved and terrible to draw on. Every other classroom in the building which is relatively new has new, clean, beautiful formica worktables, it's almost like they built the building around the tables which where left over from some previous and slightly less advanced civilization.

Oceanic Awareness Collaboration, Inc.

I just signed up to participate in this giant show in Pomona this coming February 2011 and benefiting the Oceanic Awareness Collaboration, Inc. I'm always down to help the seas. I'll post more information as I get it, there might be an installation involved... no promises yet but I'm definitively looking forward to the show. I'll post pics whenever they might materialize.

Open Daybook Launch

The Open Daybook is launching at LACMA !
Sunday December 5th, 4 - 6pm
Art Catalogues at LACMA, Ahmanson Bldg.
5905 Wilshire Blvd Los Angeles 90036

Please join the artists of The Open Daybook for drinks and appetizers, astrology readings and speed drawing.

The Open Daybook, edited by David P. Earle, is both compilation of original art work and a functional perpetual calendar. Over the course of a single year, three hundred and sixty five artists were assigned a date and given 24 hours to create a work of art. Each artist's day is a page in the book. The design of each dated page allows users to record their life and engage artistically with this diverse array of wonderful artists.

I have a piece in this book, I have not received my copy yet but I'm super pumped to get it! Follow the link below for more info.
